Welcome to this publication which we have designedfor your information and better acquaintance with our company and our sector in Spain. This issue coincides with the beginning of a new century. lt is also a very special year, because we celebrate Grabasas 25th anniversary.

Since 1976 we have oriented our experience and the perseverance of our people towards achieving the aim of "things well done". lt has been 25 years of continuous challenges to do better efforts to innovase and the constant improyement, of official recognition towards thefirst Spanish company of its sector which has obtained the certificase in "Implementation and Application of the Quality System ISO 9001 " by TÜV Management Service, Germany's certification agency. We have also increased our presence in Spain and Europe and have gained our clients'confidence again.

This business has its venue in Burguillos del Cerro, in the province of Badajoz, in southwest Extremadura. lt would not be fair to leave unmentioned here this geographical settement, rich in abrupt granite masses which ¡t so kindly lets us share with Grabasa, our activitys origin and meaning.

Burguillos del Cerro is afaithful reflection of different cultures'passing history, including Romans, Visigoths and Arabs, whose legacies take the shape of abundant monumental remains everywhere and destined to posterity like leading bulwark of its commercial motto: Extremadura´s stone.
